Sheep's in the Meadow started out by offering one of a kind hand felted wearables and accessories. New felting designs and techniques are added each year so we stay up to date and current. Sustainability and creating a nontoxic product lead to the addition of natural dying and eco printing.
Rose Ann graduated from Penn State University with a chemical engineering technology degree and worked in the pharmaceutical industry. While taking a few years off from her career to raise her 3 children, her love of textiles took off. First came Sheep's in the Meadow Workshops which took her and her spinning wheel into schools and lecture halls teaching children and adults all about how textiles are made. Dabbling in feltmaking came next since she had (has) her own small flock of Finn sheep. Making handmade felt became another passion as did her new love of textile design.
Rose has always had a love of gardening. She became a Penn State Master Gardener which led her into the community and sharing her skills and love of the plant world. This latest venture ties everything together and brings you to where she is today with feltmaking, natural dyeing and eco-printing.
